Bamboo straws are becoming very popular, mainly because of their sustainability and the fact that they are completely biodegradable.. We believe that businesses should bear the responsibility to ensure that their products and services are made ethically. That is why we take a hands-on approach to product sourcing. When we design and create our sustainable products, we take the time to visit the farm or workshop that manufacture them first, oversee their operation and make sure that everything is created fairly, whilst minimising waste. Our bamboo straws are handmade in Indonesia from local bamboo. They are crafted from a single stem of bamboo, so all are unique in colour and size. All straws have a diameter of 6 to 10 mm. To clean our natural bamboo straws you can use our version of a pipe cleaner. Our coconut fibre cleaning brush is a great tool to get any smoothie that remains out of the straw. Sand the ends of the straw with sandpaper to remove sharp edges. Place a piece of fine-grit sandpaper, such as 180- or 220-grit, over one of the straw’s cut ends. Apply firm pressure and spin the sandpaper around the straw to taper the end.
